The Original Collection is a range of versatile popular decors, from shimmering designs with lustre to marbles for a more refined feel. Offering a varied colour palette, featuring Gloss as the hero with texture and matt finish options too.
The Original Collection is one of the core ranges within Showerwall’s Laminate lineup, built around a wide spread of decors including marble, stone, concrete, terrazzo and quartz designs, alongside shimmer finishes for added lustre. It’s offered in a varied colour palette, with gloss as the hero finish alongside texture and matt options. As part of the Laminate range, Original provides versatile laminate wall panels for a wide variety of bathroom styles.
Original covers a genuinely broad spread of looks, from shimmering decors with visible lustre through to calmer marbles for a more refined finish, alongside natural stone and concrete. It’s built to suit both traditional and contemporary bathrooms rather than leaning heavily into one particular style, which is part of why it remains such a popular shower wall panel choice. The variety of designs also makes Original laminate shower panels suitable for creating anything from a subtle backdrop to a more distinctive feature wall.
Gloss is the hero finish across Original, giving decors a high-shine, reflective surface, with Texture and Matt options available for anyone who wants a softer, less reflective look. This keeps the collection flexible for different bathroom styles without needing to move to a different range within Laminate, making Original a versatile choice for shower walls.
Original and Impression share the same core specification, a choice of Plywood or Exterior Grade MDF coreboard, 10.5mm panel thickness and the option of square cut or Proclick. The difference comes down to the decors themselves. Impression leans into rich, earthy, more tactile finishes, while Original covers a broader, more established spread of stone, marble, concrete, wood and shimmer-effect designs built up over a longer period as the range has grown. Both collections provide a range of laminate wall panels for different bathroom designs.
Yes. Original decors can be ordered as square cut panels for single panel use and corner enclosures, or with Proclick for a run of panels across a wider wall. Both formats sit on the same coreboard choice, so the decision comes down to the size and shape of the space you’re covering. This gives you flexibility when designing shower walls, whether you’re using a single shower wall panel or creating a larger installation with multiple panels.
No. Showerwall panels are designed to be installed vertically and cannot be installed horizontally or on a ceiling. The main reason is the weight of the panels. When installed horizontally, the bottom panel would be under pressure from the panels above it. Additionally, ceiling installation is not possible, as the adhesive would need to support the weight of the panel while holding it upside down, which it is not designed to do.This applies to all Showerwall collections. For the best results, panels should always be installed according to the recommended installation method and manufacturer’s guidelines.
