Frequently Asked Questions

The Impression Collection sits within the Laminate range from Showerwall, built around textured decors with rich, earthy tones that bring depth to a bathroom wall. Where some collections lean flat and minimal, Impression is full of character, with tactile finishes designed to make a statement in bathrooms of any size. It’s a strong pick for anyone comparing shower wall panels who wants something with more presence than a plain finish. These laminate wall panels combine distinctive finishes with the practical benefits expected from Showerwall.

Impression decors come in four finish types: Gloss for a high shine, brilliant appearance, Synchro for a textured finish that follows the form of the material it’s replicating, Matt for a soft, low reflectivity surface, and Texture for a structured feel that emulates organic materials. This range of finishes is part of what makes the Impression Collection such a versatile shower wall panel choice, whether you want something polished or something with more grain and depth. The different finishes also make Impression laminate shower panels suitable for a range of bathroom styles.

Impression panels are available on a choice of Plywood or Exterior Grade MDF coreboard, giving you some flexibility depending on budget and the specifics of your installation. This choice sits behind the decorative laminate face, which is one of the things that sets Impression apart from ranges built on a dedicated coreboard material. It’s another reason the collection remains a popular choice for shower walls, offering a range of options for different bathroom projects.

Yes. Impression panels are available as either square edge or Proclick—Showerwall’s interlocking joint system designed for a seamless finish without visible joining trims. Square Edge panels are ideal for corner enclosures and single panel installations, whereas Proclick is best suited for continuous runs along wider shower walls. This versatility ensures Impression laminate wall panels accommodate a range of bathroom configurations and fitting needs. Note that the Compact and Acrylic collections are exclusively square edge, while the Arcade and Tile collections are available solely with Proclick.

Impression panels are 10.5mm thick, in line with the rest of the Laminate range excluding Arcade and Tile, which measure slightly thinner at 10.2mm. This thickness gives the panel enough rigidity to install cleanly over most standard wall types while keeping the overall profile slim. As shower wall panels, Impression offers a balance of durability, practicality and design flexibility for modern bathrooms.

No. Showerwall panels are designed to be installed vertically and cannot be installed horizontally or on a ceiling. The main reason is the weight of the panels. When installed horizontally, the bottom panel would be under pressure from the panels above it. Additionally, ceiling installation is not possible, as the adhesive would need to support the weight of the panel while holding it upside down, which it is not designed to do.This applies to all Showerwall collections. For the best results, panels should always be installed according to the recommended installation method and manufacturer’s guidelines.
