Bespoke Panels Specified for Luxury Glamping Retreat

Luxury glamping site The Little Retreat in Pembrokeshire has specified bespoke Showerwall panels, as a stylish low-maintenance alternative to tiling for the bathrooms in the retreat’s wild food restaurant, Annwn.

The holiday retreat captures the tranquility of the Pembrokeshire coast, with the newly developed restaurant run by a foraging chef who spends time on the shoreline gathering ingredients for his dishes directly from the sea. In keeping with the coastal theme, Showerwall’s bespoke design service was used to create a 2.8metre long landscape mural painting behind the bathroom basins, reflecting the marine heritage of the area.

Part of Showerwall’s Acrylic collection, the bespoke panels were specified for their hygiene benefits, easy installation and high-quality solid acrylic core printing service that can be used to create a unique wall panel design.

Adrian Lort-Phillips, Owner of The Little Retreat, commented: “We love the bespoke wall panel and the uniqueness really does help to make the bathroom a feature of the restaurant. Our thanks and credit have to go to the incredibly talented Pembroksehire based artist David Miller for his donation of the images. David is a remarkable artist whose work has been put on Royal Mail stamps and it’s an honour to be able to capture his magical imagery in this enduring way.

“The bespoke painting looks absolutely stunning; people are always saying ‘I’m going to the bathroom again to see the fish’ and that just shows the value of having bespoke interiors as a long-term investment that enhances our customers’ experience. Choosing Showerwall was the easiest part of the overall renovation process, from selecting the design and delivery of the product to the installation process. We would 100% recommend Showerwall to anyone looking to create a statement interior feature.”

Showerwall’s digitally printed acrylic panels are pattern-matched to deliver a premium finish. This means that panels do not have to be specifically cut to line up and match, which delivers an improved aesthetic finish, less material wastage, and faster and easier installation.

Steph Harris, Product Manager for Showerwall, commented: “The Little Retreat is a highly-regarded luxury holiday escape, recommended by the likes of Forbes, The Times and National Geographic. We were incredibly pleased to be given the opportunity to work with the owners of the development to help create a bathroom facility for the new restaurant.

“With the demand for staycations increasing, holidaymakers are looking for new experiences and luxury glamping destinations are in demand. In these hygiene-sensitive times, investing in wall panels is a great option for areas with high footfall, as they are easy to clean, whilst the bespoke option also makes them a stylish choice.”

Alongside the bespoke design service, Showerwall’s collection offers over 100 different designs, which are extremely versatile and durable. The Acrylic Collection carries a 30 year guarantee, when installed using the recommended accessories and fitting guide.
